Crafty Feast Kicks Off Holiday Shopping Season with One-Stop Market of Handmade Goods, Sunday, December 10, 2017, 12-6 p.m.

9th annual indie craft fair hosts 90+ vendors

Dec. 8, 2017 (COLUMBIA, S.C.)– Crafty Feast, the Midlands’ largest independent craft fair, will kick off the holiday shopping season with its ninth annual, one-stop-shopping market – featuring nearly 100 artisans of handmade and repurposed goods and gifts from across the Southeast – at the Columbia Metropolitan Convention Center on Sunday, December 10, 2017 from 12 to 6 p.m. Admission is $3; free for kids 10 & under.

In addition to exploring the colorful aisles of uniquely curated goods – from porcelain sculptures and local apple butter to succulent planters and hand-melded metal birdhouses – guests can sip mimosas, apple cider, craft beer and wine; and snack on popcorn, chicken wings and vegetarian bites.

Inspired attendees will have the opportunity to make their own crafts at two DIY booths hosted by ByFarr Design and the Columbia Museum of Art. Attendees will learn from local experts, creating their own prints, paper ornaments, cards and envelopes.

Guests can also take a turn on the pinball machines, courtesy of Firefly Games and Toys.

While checking off all the boxes on that holiday shopping list, attendees will enjoy a custom playlist of tunes provided by DJ Dr. P (Rockafellas-era music expert Scott Padgett).

Meet the Vendors

Choosing from more than 250 submissions, five Crafty Feast jurors – influencers from Columbia’s arts scene – hand-picked close to 100 vendors for this year’s fair, judging them on a 10-point scale for entry. Almost a third of this year’s makers are new to Crafty Feast; 74 artisans are from outside of Columbia; and 35 are from outside of S.C. – coming from Kentucky, Florida, Tennessee, Georgia and North Carolina.

Unique to Crafty Feast, all vendors hand-make items or artistically repurpose goods for sale. No re-sellers are allowed at Crafty Feast.
